A comprehensive charter of charitable objectives guiding the trust's work in education, journalism, health, social welfare, culture, and digital access.
Part I
Existing Aims & Objects
The foundational objects under which the trust has operated since its establishment in 1973, forming the bedrock of all charitable activities.
- Advancement and propagation of journalism and mass communication in any form including particularly electronic media.
- Dissemination of education in all its forms.
- Providing medical relief, encouraging medical research and supporting social services.
- Taking effective steps for alleviation of poverty.
- Publication of literature at affordable prices and encouragement of literacy activities.
- Taking over management of trust having similar objects as the present trust.
- Other purposes beneficial to the community not falling under any of the preceding heads.
- Any other object or objects as are in law charitable within the definition of Sec. 2(15) of Income Tax Act, 1961.
- Printing and publishing of newspapers, magazines, periodicals either independently or in conjunction with others; running a media center and a library with full communication equipment, audio/visual studios, press conference rooms; and publication of secular literature at affordable prices with encouragement of literary activities.
Considering the enormous scope of charitable work, the trust has resolved to enhance and expand its objects as detailed below, to better serve the community across all relevant domains of public benefit.

Category 1Education & Knowledge Dissemination
- To promote, advance, and propagate education in all forms — secular, journalism, mass communication, digital learning, and spiritual education.
- To advance education through traditional and modern modes including online, offline, and blended formats.
- To conduct certified training programs in spirituality, yoga, Ayurveda, holistic wellness, value-based living, and life skills.
- To encourage lifelong learning through spiritual discourses, study circles, satsangs, and retreats.
- To promote secular mass education through newspapers, periodicals, books, and other media.
- To start educational programs in journalism, media, communication, technical, medical, management, legal, and other disciplines.
Category 2Journalism, Media & Communication
- To advance and propagate journalism and mass communication through electronic media, digital platforms, and multimedia.
- To print, publish, and distribute newspapers, magazines, periodicals, journals, and secular literature at affordable prices.
- To develop and operate a media center with audio/video studios, press rooms, committee rooms, and reference libraries.
- To promote research and development in mass communication and media.
- To encourage ethical journalism, freedom of expression, and dissemination of truthful, secular, and inclusive content.
Category 3Digital & Information Technology
- To develop, customize, and utilize IT assets including learning management systems, knowledge platforms, mobile apps, and payment gateways.
- To design and operate websites, social media platforms, webinars, podcasts, and other electronic means for education and public engagement.
- To set up digital infrastructure such as data centers to support the above activities.
Category 4Health, Wellness & Ayurveda
- To provide medical relief to the poor and needy, supply medicines, conduct medical camps, and assist in rehabilitation.
- To promote Ayurveda, naturopathy, and yoga for physical and mental well-being.
- To organize certified Ayurveda and wellness programs aimed at prevention, healing, and sustainable health.
- To encourage research and training in holistic health and Ayurvedic sciences.
Category 5Charity, Welfare & Social Upliftment
- To provide relief to indigent, old, infirm, and invalid persons irrespective of caste, creed, or religion.
- To undertake poverty alleviation, food distribution, livelihood support, and self-help programs.
- To support poor and needy individuals through education, healthcare, financial support, or other welfare schemes.
- To extend support to vulnerable communities and contribute to inclusive community development.
Category 6Spiritual Education & Interfaith Harmony
- To impart and promote spiritual education based on universal values — truth, peace, compassion, non-violence, and inner development.
- To conduct spiritual courses, guided meditations, yoga camps, and retreats focused on self-awareness and value-based living.
- To publish and distribute spiritual literature and audiovisual content for the upliftment of individuals and society.

- To establish and maintain public libraries, resource centers, digital archives, and photo/map clipping libraries for educational and journalistic research.
- To support libraries and reading spaces as centers for learning, reflection, and social interaction.
Category 9Events, Conferences & Training
- To conduct, support, or participate in seminars, conferences, study circles, workshops, and lectures on medical, technical, spiritual, educational, legal, financial, and management subjects.
- To offer certified or non-certified training programs in relevant fields for knowledge enhancement and skill development.
Category 10Support for Digital Public Access
- To develop, maintain, or donate digital platforms that provide public access to educational, spiritual, medical, and technical information.
- To ensure equitable digital access to knowledge for the masses.
Part III
General & Miscellaneous Objects
Broad enabling provisions that allow the trust to undertake any charitable activity in alignment with its larger mission and within the framework of Indian law.
Charitable Purpose — Sec. 2(15)
To carry out any other activity that is charitable in nature and comes within the meaning of Section 2(15) of the Income Tax Act, 1961, or any amendment or re-enactment thereof.
Community Projects & Initiatives
To initiate, manage, or support various projects aligned with the above objectives for the benefit of the community at large, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or social identity.
Legal Framework & Compliance
The trust operates as a registered public charitable trust under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950. All aims and objects are defined in accordance with the Income Tax Act, 1961 — Section 2(15), ensuring full legal compliance and eligibility for charitable status. Regular audits, filings, and governance measures ensure accountability and public trust.
